Technical Tour – Local

On Friday morning we will learn about Transantiago by visiting three centers that help in the operation of Santiago’s transportation system. They are:

• Traffic management center (UOCT), in charge of controlling the traffic lights of 2600 junctions in Santiago.
• Bus monitoring center, responsable of tracking the operation of 6300 buses.
• Metro monitoring center, in charge of supervising 140 metro trains circulating on Santiago every day.

 
During the visit we will travel in Transantiago´s buses and Metro and take the chance to visit some important terminals of the public transport system.
